These newer correction methods are safer, more comfortable and more effective than ever before. Doctors of Chiropractic have years of training and experience in performing spinal adjustment.
Myofascial Release
Soft tissue massage is designed to relax contracted muscles, decrease pain and improve blood flow, oxygen and lymphatic circulation within the muscles. For these treatments, we locate Trigger-points in the muscle/fascia that are tight/tender and treat them with our manual therapy techniques. Dr. Foreman may use his hands, thumbs, elbows, tools or our amazing Erchonia Percussor for percussion massage, which is a series of vibrations that works great for improving muscle function and range of motion, decreasing soreness, and promoting circulation.
Flexion Distraction
Flexion Distraction Therapy is a safe, nonsurgical, gentle and effective treatment for disc injuries, low back, and leg pain symptoms. It may also reduce pain and stiffness associated with osteoarthritis and improve spinal movement in patients who have scoliosis. The technique is also gentle enough to use after spinal surgery and if you have osteoporosis. Chiropractors have had great success using flexion distraction therapy on many patients, saving them from further medical intervention such as surgery and/or injections.
Therapeutic Exercises
A therapeutic exercise program consists of corrective movements, postures, and physical activities that are selected based on a patient evaluation, in order to restore function and flexibility, improve strength and decrease pain. Specific exercises and stretches can help your body stay in balance and in health. These exercises are introduced at the office but can be performed in the comfort of your own home and can improve the effectiveness of your spinal adjustment. Home exercise videos and instructions are made available through our Jane App web interface, so you will always have access to your recommended program.
Y-Strap
The Y-Strap is a tool that allows a clinician to perform manual decompression of the spine. The goal of this procedure is to promote healthy flow of oxygen and nutrient-rich fluids into the spinal discs, reduce pressure on the nerves within the spine, and relax the surrounding musculature. Cupping
The vacuum creates a lift and separation in tissue that complements the compression of most manual therapies. Benefits of Cupping: Cupping affects several areas positively, including circulation, fascia, lymph and muscle tissue. The vacuum creates vasodilation, which draws blood flow into the tissue. The expansion of blood vessels also offers a vehicle for release of deep inflammation to the skin surface.
